Mercury in Gemini

Your mind is very active, restless and fond of change. You may get bored easily, unless something stimulating comes along. This should make you a better than average student in school, as long as you receive intellectual stimulation from your parents. No one wants to learn unless encouraged early in life.

It is difficult for you to form close attachments with others, because you quickly begin to feel confined in a relationship, and you want to get away. The exception to this is when the other person is very unusual or even slightly crazy according to ordinary standards. While you are young this pattern is not very important, but the basic tendencies of this aspect are clear even now. This aspect means that you love working with and owning beautiful things, so that later you may have a career in art, crafts, decorating or another field involving beauty. You are not especially aggressive, preferring to give in or smooth over a possible dispute rather than fight. This is not because you lack self-confidence, but because you hate conflict. Your relationship with your parents should be quite positive, and your early life should be very pleasant. When you are older, you will have happy memories of these years. Mars in Aquarius

You are very optimistic and have a lot of energy. You believe that everything will work out all right, which is true, if you are a little careful. Your energy needs an outlet, and you are likely to be physically active, possibly even athletic. However, in athletics you should be especially careful, for your behavior may lead to an accident.

You hate to stand still in life or be restricted. You want to be constantly on the move, having new experiences and seeing new places. This aspect occurs only once every forty-five years; the last time was in 1988, and before that in 1942. It signifies a heavy internal tension that can have both creative and difficult results. At its most difficult, it may make you feel restless and irritable, not knowing whether to go forward or backward. This in turn creates tension, and you try to get away from whatever is causing the conflict. If this process goes too far, you may suddenly make a rash and impulsive move simply to get away from the tension by any means at all. When you are older, you may suddenly break away from a relationship or quit your job or suddenly have an emotional outburst with little or no warning to those around you. You find it difficult to release tension slowly, which would be the better way, if you could do it.

Forming close relationships with people your own age will not be easy for you. The guidance and wisdom you are looking for can't be found among your peers until you and they are much older. However, while older people can help you in many ways, try to get to know younger people as well and relate to them as a friend. Whatever task you undertake, you work at patiently, with thorough organization and method, leaving no stone unturned. You may take on responsibilities that most young people would be reluctant to attempt. In many ways you may be older than your years.

Uranus in Capricorn

Uranus was in this sign from February 1988 to January 1996. These children have difficulty in getting along with established authorities, not because they reject the idea of authority, but because they have so many ideas about how it should be changed. However, they can make changes on the practical level, and they have a good grasp of the social significance of change. The changes made by this generation will be real and far-reaching, but while they are young there may be considerable tension between them and their elders.

Uranus in the Sixth House

You may be quite restless and find it hard to settle down to any kind of stable working pattern. You may experience this aspect in a number of ways. First of all, you probably prefer to be with people who are very free and even eccentric rather than those who are predictable and "normal". Uranus Sextile Midheaven

With this aspect, you want to be independent and to find a lifestyle and life work that are unique and yours alone. While you are young, others will consider your interests quite unusual, especially for someone your age. You may be particularly interested in a technical or scientific field, and in fact when you are an adult you may choose a career in such a field. This aspect may also indicate an interest in the occult or in offbeat philosophies. You do not feel obligated or held back by tradition. You seek to carve your own niche in life, and in the course of doing so, you may come up with some rather original and even daring ideas. At some time in your life you may even make a totally new discovery.

You may prefer to be alone much of the time, not because you can't get along with people, but because you prefer to be free to program your own time. Other people may keep you from doing this, so that you feel you cannot accomplish what you need to.

You are likely to identify yourself as being different from others, because you feel that if you are just like everyone else, you are less of a person. Everyone follows some kind of pattern in order to feel unique, and yours is simply to be different.

You are capable of working with others as long as you feel that you share common goals. In fact, you can work very hard for a belief in something higher than yourself, usually a belief that is radical or unusual.

Neptune

While you are young, Neptune can be a very difficult energy to deal with, but it can also be the source of much beauty and fascination. Neptune, like Uranus, does not follow the established rules, but instead of breaking them by sudden upsets, it makes the rules unclear and vague. Neptune can often be a planet of confusion and mystery.

As Neptune goes through each sign, it denotes the area of life that the generation born then will challenge and alter in subtle ways when it grows up. For example, the whole nature of male-female relationships was changed by the generation born with Neptune in Libra.

The house placement of Neptune indicates areas of your life that you idealize, fantasize or, at worst, are confused about. In these areas also you may have to serve others in some way or give up what you want in order to learn more about life. In its highest expression, the energy of Neptune puts you in touch with the meaning of existence, and for this reason it should be mastered as much as possible.

Neptune in Capricorn

This placement lasted from 1984 to 1998. This generation should represent quite a reaction against the previous one. These children will probably idealize work, thrift, practical considerations and duty rather than the more abstract, spiritual ideals of the generation before them. However, their idealization of such practical virtues does not mean that they will be very effective in dealing with them. In fact these principles may deteriorate considerably, simply because this generation does not deal with them in their daily lives but only in their minds and dreams.

Neptune in the Seventh House

Whenever you have to play a game or work very closely with someone, be sure you understand the task or the rules that you are playing by. Neptune Opposition Ascendant

This aspect can create problems in relationships in that you feel deceived or disappointed by your closest friends. Or there may be much misunderstanding and confusion in your relationships. Very often they seem to demoralize you or make you feel inadequate. Often you take on other people's problems that are very hard to manage, especially at your age. You may be attracted to very creative and sensitive people who see aspects of the world that you do not see. These people can be very rewarding but they may also be confusing at times.

Pluto

Pluto is the planet of transformation and the powers that cause transformation. Its placement in your chart describes how you approach the changes that must occur in your life as you grow and develop. It also indicates your ability to use and handle power as it comes to you. This is not likely to be a large issue while you are young, but it will become important later on in life. The house placement of Pluto suggests the areas of your life that will be the sources of greatest change and most intense development. Pluto can also indicate using power or someone else using power to influence you.

Pluto in Scorpio

This placement lasted from 1983 to 1995. Many astrologers believe that Scorpio is the sign that is ruled by Pluto. The children of this era should be much more concerned with the forces underlying the surface of reality. They will put their intelligence to investigating all kinds of phenomena, and it is just possible that they will bring the arts and sciences out of their present stagnation to a new period of dynamic activity.
